So, in bullet style, here's what's been going on for me and mines:
- The baby turned 6 months earlier this month! And at his check up, we realized that we are NOT raising another sumo. According to the doc, he's.... average. Average weight. Average height. Just average. Stark difference from the Kiddo at this age.
- The kiddo has decided that the Chuck E Cheese is for the birds. Guess where he'd rather go? Come on...guess. Give up? Target. yep. He'll ask me, 'Mommy, go Target. Go shopping, please?' So young and already Target has a grip on him. oy.
- We started a furlough schedule at work. It's nice that we get off earlier on certain days, but I'm sure I'll hate the pay reduction when I see it at the end of the month when we get paid (I don't get paid bi weekly, we get our month's pay at the end of the month). I'm trying not to complain because the bottom line is, I still have a job, right?
- In another effort to curb my spending, I have decided to check books out at the library versus buying them. Best decision this summer! You know why? Because the place I work at has a library. Yep. And lucky, lucky me, it's right next door to the building I'm in. Yay! so friggin convenient!
- My tomato crop (at home, not the one on Facebook's Farm Town :p) has been crazy! . I'm tapped out on tomato recipes! ya got any good ones? Share, please. My okra is starting to look like I'll be picking buckets of it too. Ahh - organic veggies.
- I finally decided on the Baby's birthday theme and I've been picking stuff up for the party. You think having a party outdoors in February will be too cold?
- We recently took back the crib that the Kiddo used to Target because I found out it was being recalled. (the Baby never used it - he slept in the bassinet and now he likes his pack n play) We got $150 for it ($140 plus tax) ! No questions asked. Ok - wait, they did ask me what the model number was. hehe. No, but seriously, I think we bought the crib for $99! They took that used safety hazard and even gave us an extra $50! woo-hoo!
Ok, so nothing I just wrote is reason as to why I've been missing from blog-land. but eh- I'm still here. Must be the heat. Makes you feel all lazy and stuff.

So awesome that you have a successful garden! I am only successful at killing plants : /
hehe, thanks for the "linky love". I'm so jealous that you have a garden! I tried to grow a "salsa" garden this summer, but it got SO super hot that everything died! LOL
I really need to go to the library as well. It get's so expensive to buy books and I don't read many of them more than once.
Target? You are raising that boy right!
