Color...Finally!

After living in our home for 16 months, we've finally started painting the walls! I am so, so thrilled!
As much as I wanted to paint the walls as soon as we moved in, PJ was adamant that we wait...we had just found out that I was pregnant with Troy a week after moving in & though it kinda sounds silly, he didn't want me breathing the fumes of wet paint in case that would jeapordize the pregnancy. I dunno, PJ must have had this vision of me sitting in a room inhaling all the harmful odors...LOL! I kid...I saw where he was going with that - - we were still reeling from the loss of my earlier pregnancy, so we were pretty cautious as soon as we found out about Troy.
Anyhoo- back to the paint!
We still had some paint left over from painting the kiddo's room, so we lightened it up with 2 gallons of white paint & viola! new paint color. (Ok - so we'd already pianted a room in the house, but lemme tell ya, I was restricted from hanging out too long in the baby's room after it was painted...bleh!)
It's a green, sage-y color. We used that color for the guest bedroom, for the hallway leading to the laundry room and the hallway leading to the downstairs bathroom. As much as I love the color, we're going to paint most of the other walls a different color - - Probably a taupe like color.
Now that we're painting walls, I'm on this decorating kick. I am so appalled at myself for not truly decorating our home sooner! We've got the furniture that we fell in love with, paintings & pictures on frames, waiting to be hung, rugs waiting to be unfurled & laid ...and then theres me...slacker! anyone want to come help me?

I wish I had remembered to take a picture of the hallways! I love it! maybe next blog I'll remember to post some...who knows maybe by then we'll have more walls painted...
