Turtle Power

Troy turns 10 months on Monday, March 31st. OMG! where has the time gone? Which means... I have 2 more months before he turns the big 1 !

I have slowly started planning his first big shindig...and on one of my 'just browsing' jaunts this past week at PartyAmerica I came across this cute pinata: Ok - so this picture doesn't really show how cute it is...the tail is missing in the pic...and really it's the turtle's face that makes it so adorable. But really, what do the kids care, they're going to whack that poor thing to a pulp anyways!

I ohhhed and ahhhed at the cute lil thing then....brought that pinata to the register and bought it! And just like that - - the pinata is dictating the theme of my lil man's party.

I also picked up some lime green and aqua forks. The lime green totally matches the color of the turtle's flippers & head. Perfect! I figure I'd use the aqua color as an accent.

So, last night I make my way to one of my favorite stores - TARGET. Guess what I found at one of the clearance shelves? Party napkins in lime green, aqua & white stripes for $.40 a pk! SCORE!!! And Lady Luck was on my side b/c they had exactly the amount I needed! I big pink puffy heart you, Target!

Oh! oh! and the best part of my galavants last night... I found printable invitations that matches the colors and...it has a turtle on it!! yeay! heck - double yeay!

Talk about turtle power!
