Double Celebration

Like I blogged earlier...I got sick. And just when I thought I had shaken the bug that pretty much took me out for the count...it came back and got me again. Gawd - I hate being sick!
To make matters worse, the kiddo got sick, but the lil booger was able to shake it off in a day. No fair!
Anyhoo - -here's a recap of our boys' double celebration.
The baby was baptized on May 30th and since the kiddo's birthday was the next day, we decided to make it a double celebration!

The baby loved this part. He was cooing and smiling and just loving it. He probably thought he was getting a bath. heh. Here's the kiddo's cake. Of course, there were orange cupcakes!
This was the only shot I got of the baby's cake. He's was drooling over it - -hehe!
Look how serious N Lil boy on the right) looks while listening to M! I swear that kid is 6 going on 36!
We got a jumper to help keep the kids outta the house....erm...I mean, busy. They all loved it. The adults got in on the jumping fun as well. Too bad we don't have any pics. Here's one of the kiddo take a break from jumping and screaming with all the other kids.

We had a pinata. I learned this year. It was a pull string one. Much, MUCH safer! My nephew, M was the one that found the string to open up the trap door to the goodies. Come to think of it, he was the one that busted the pinata open last year.
There were gifts galore. The kiddo loved them all. He was besides himself when he opened his gift from his uncle/nino (godfather) Da. All his other cousins each have a scooter & every time we get together, he's the only one without one. NOT ANYMORE! The kiddo can now roll with the 'big' kids!
My serious lil boy loved his gifts too. You just can't tell in the pictures. But trust me, he waited till the camera was off, then started giving his big gummy smiles.
Whew! It was a fun, fun day.
With one exception. But I'm not going to go there. All I'll say is that I'm so glad I was able to put it aside and enjoy the day with my loved ones who came for our boys.
So...do you think it's too early to start planning for the baby's 1st birthday in February?
