Once again, we woke up to the drunks leaving the pub downstairs at around 3 am. The hubs and I got a good laugh at the one guy that kept repeating to his companions - 'Duuude! I freakin LOOOOOVE you!' and then we're guessing that his ride arrived and he gave his parting shot with as much exuberance his slurry speech would let him - 'I LOOOOOVE YOU HAWAAAAAI'I!' The hubs and I giggled at his dorkiness while the kiddo tried to shush him for interrupting his cartoons. Ahhh - good times!
Since the kiddo was not riding with me & the rest of the bridal party, I left him with the hubs and the baby and headed to the bride's room 2 floors up from our room to help her get ready at around 4:45am. I was kinda skeptical that the hubs would be able to get himself and the two boys ready without my help. But surprise, surprise, he came through with flying colors! He and the boys even got to the wedding site waaaaay before the bridal party arrived. Seriously, I was so impressed with the hubs!
They were just chillin & waiting for us to get there and get started with pictures.
The kiddo even had my bouquet for me. Although, he kept saying it was his 'gun' and was trying to shoot the bugs. sigh. ...boys.
The hubs took a quick shot of the girls before the wedding photographer got to us. Excuse the blurriness, he forgot to put it on anti-shake =)
Unfortunately we don't have any pics on our camera of the wedding ceremony, but here are some links from the wedding photographer's site (www.hayashiphoto.com)By the time the reception rolled around, the baby had had enough of the excitement and was pretty much out despite our table being next to a speaker. But I couldn't resist taking a pic of him looking so cute in his guayabera shirt - too bad I forgot to take his panda bib off.
The kiddo was up to his usual antics during the reception. Remember how a while back he loved watching Yo Gabba Gabba? Yah, well, one of the 'Cool Tricks' he remembered from the show was holding a spoon on his nose. 'Cooool, cooool, cooool tricks. Yaaaah!'
Here are the newly weds during the cake cutting. Check out their daughter, (also my lil god daughter) taking swipes at the icing! It was too cute.
And before we knew it, the party was over. Since it was still pretty early (not quite 2 pm yet) we changed outta our wedding attire and thought we'd check out one of the nearby beaches since we were already at Kailua.Yah - -we didn't make it to the beach. we drove by it, but since it was a Sunday, there were so many people BBQing and hanging out at the beach. Eh - so not willing to fight for parking or be at a crowded beach. So we left.
And somehow found our way to Dave's Hawaiian Ice Cream at Waimanalo. The coconut macadamia ice cream was soooo good. I'm craving some now.
So we drove on and decided to stop by this look out by Rabbit Island. Ok - I lied, the hubs and I were the only ones that changed outta of our wedding clothes. but hey - Look how blue the sky was!
I don't know where this one was at. Do you like how the kiddo was giving the stink eye to the Japanese tourists right by us? I later whispered to him that that was his daddy's peeps he just gave a bad look to. hehe!
We made it back to the hotel and after I hung out with the newlyweds and some of their other friends at their hotel room, we called it an early night and conked out by 8 pm! Waking up at 3 am for the past 2 days finally caught up to us.Stay tuned for part 4 picture overload!
