Weekend Rewind

Can you believe we can now say we are past mid-October? Yikes! Where has the time gone?

We started our weekend with a visit to the pumpkin patch on Friday afternoon after I got off work. We snapped this pic as soon as we got there... Cute Halloween shirts, no?
I think the boys were in awe with the sea of pumpkins...

Soon after that last pic was taken, the baby lost one of his shoes. We hadn't gone too far when I realized it wasn't on his foot, but when we back tracked, it was no where to be found. I was so bummed! It was the first time he had worn them too. Curse the meanie that picked it up and didn't return it!
On Saturday, we decided to have sushi for dinner. Well, really the kiddo made that decision for us.
A lil history - -when I was pregnant with the kiddo, I craved sushi alot (just my pregnant a$$ luck, huh?). So, I was thrilled to find First Book of Sushi by Amy Wilson Sanger to add to the growing stack of books we were amassing for him.
Well, lately the kiddo has been requesting we read that book to him. Sometimes 3 times each night. I have that book memorized. No joke.
So when the hubs asked the kiddo what he wanted for dinner on Saturday afternoon, he promptly declared, 'suuu-shi, please'. Well, hey, he said the magic word! So off I go to get us some California rolls, tekka maki and spicy tuna rolls (for the hubs and myself).
I had found these really cool chopstick helpers on one of our trips to Little Tokyo, so I popped a pair of chopsticks in the FunChops and gave 'em to the kiddo. Seriously, I wish I had the camera ready for his reaction - 'OHHHHH chop-chop! My chop-chop?'
Check him out using his chop-chops! Not bad for a first time chop-chop user, huh?
Grab the sushi.....
pssshhh! I got this!
mmmmm- -sushi! YUM!
Sunday afternoon was the memorial services for Jewelyn. The hubs decided to corral the boys in the playroom/office as I got ready. I couldn't help snapping this pic of my crazy monkey boys after I gave them each a 'see ya later' kiss.
The memorial service was beautiful and I was so very glad to be there with some of the best gals I've ever met. Despite the circumstances, it was a nice way to end the weekend.

The kiddo is probably better at using the chopsticks than I am, I still need work.

Love the pumpkin patch pictures!

We lost one of Kaydin's sandals(my absolute favorite ones) a few months ago in JC Penny. We walked around that store like 20 times and never found it. Maybe the same thief that stole our sandal took your shoe! They were cute shoes too - sorry for your loss :(
