Secrets and the weekend

Have you ever had those moments when you are just practically bursting to tell someone...anyone! what you know?


For those of you that know me, you know that keeping secrets is not one of my best traits. I am the worst secret keeper (most of the time). I hate secrets and I hate surprises.


So, here I am with one of the best secrets so far this year and I am bursting to say something! Such a tease, huh? Well, if all goes the way I want it to go, then, I'll be blogging about it in a month or so.



If you're lucky -- I've already told you...so SHHHHHH!!! Mum's the word until I give the green light! Thanks!



Anyhoo - this weekend is gonna be a crazy one for us! We're going to 2 graduation parties on Saturday. One is in San Diego for my crazy cousin, MK (who swears she's taller than me - -pssshhh! only with shoes on, dearie!). She graduated from HS! High school!!?!? I'm getting old, yo! She's a crazy cool kid, so I wouldn't miss her party.

So after we hang out with the fam bam, we're going to have to haul it back to Riverside for (ok - now follow me here..)the hubby's best friend's sister's graduation. She graduating from UCR. I wish I could say that I'm going to get my drink on at the party (they always have a fully stocked bar complete with a bartender at their parties!) but I promised the hubs that I'll be the designated driver that night. ehhh! I''l just double fist on the Diet Coke...it's all good!

Then on Sunday, we are hauling ourselves back to San Diego. Yep! Back again to San Diego! The hubby's grandparents have let it be known that they are miffed at us for not being able to come to the kiddo's party.... UH - -rewind!!! we sent the invitation, it was YOUR CHOICE not to come! Seriously, if you have In-law horror stories, come see me, I bet mine can be a thousand times more horrific than yours! Be sad for me. I have to suck it up and play nice on Sunday -- act like really it was OUR fault that THEY CHOSE NOT TO ATTEND THEIR GREAT GRANDCHILD'S BIRTHDAY PARTY!

I wish I could just say, 'F*ck it all to hell!' but I can't. So, really feel sad for me.
