Ugh - -reschedule!

So, the weekend went as planned ...except for Sunday.
The hubby's grandparents cancelled on us.
Yep. Again.

They called us on Saturday as we were heading down to San Diego. They wanted to hang out that day instead of Sunday....after we had confirmed with them that we were coming over on SUNDAY. Can you believe that? Thank goodness the hubs held his ground and told them that we already had plans for the WHOLE day (Saturday). Turns out the grandparents made plans to stay at some hotel casino for the next 4 days. Never mind that they had made plans with us to hang out on Father's Day prior to booking their room. Because really, I guess they thought we'd change our plans to accommodate them. UGHHHH!
So, the hubs suggested we just have brunch on Sunday so that afterwards they can go on their gambling way. "Sure, " they said, "that sounds like a good plan".
Ok great, at least we'll get to see them on Sunday.
So Sunday morning comes.....we were waiting (& waiting & waiting...) for them to call us to let us know where to meet. No call.
So, at 11:30 am, I asked the hubs to call and find out what's going on. Change of plans.
Now they want to come over & visit us before going to the casino...they'll be there by 3:30pm.

Oooooooo-kaaaaaay.

We decided to go out & run some errands before they came. And while we were out, we thought it was about time the kiddo got his first haircut (I'll blog about that later -- I have pics to go with it & don't have my camera on me right now).
Well, we were out longer than we anticipated and got home about 4:45pm. I thought for sure, they'll be at our place waiting.

Nope.
No call. No voicemail message.
NOTHING!

They ended up NOT coming over and NOT calling at all to tell us what was up.
When the hubs called them, they wanted to reschedule for next weekend.
Too bad - -we're going to my god daughter's birthday party.

What a Father's Day, huh? Thank goodness the kiddo and I took the hubs out last week to celebrate! otherwise....I'd be seething mad at how inconsiderate they were.
