Yesterday, I got a notice in the mail for a traffic violation... I ran a red light last week. Whhaaaaa?! No way, I thought, I NEVER run red lights. Besides, I'm not crazy to do that at an intersection that has cameras on all corners.
So then I go on the website and put in the violation number and all that to see the video.
I was making a right turn on a red light and I made the costly mistake of doing a California stop (or is California roll? oh wait that's food!)
Man, I hate myself.
I told the hubs that I'm just going to forfeit my push present that he was planning on buying for me when we get to Hawai'i and use that money for my fine.
His answer?
Fine, you don't want that thing, then we'll just get you the matching watch of the one I got when we were on Guam.
Uhm - -hello? that watch is even more $$$$$!
Man, I wish I could be that cavalier with money.
I know I shouldn't be griping. The hubs has offered to pay my fine since the reason I was rushing was because of him ( I was on my way to pick up boys, but had to stop by the bank and do a deposit for him. It was 4:48pm and the bank closes at 5pm) plus I still get my push present. Seriously, I should just shut it and be happy that I still get what I want. But...I feel bad.
Ugh- that's about $400 for a fine down the drain...and I have nothing to show for it other than a mar on my record.
I hate costly mistakes!
