Christmas Break, part 2

Mid January & and I'm finally putting up part 2 of my Christmas break. yikes! I feel like one of those people that leave their Christmas lights up waaaaaay past the holidays. eh.
Anyhoo - despite the loss of my grandfather two days before Christmas, my cousins, our kids and I were able to have a good Christmas.
As always we went to midnight mass on the 24th and then went to my cousin RN's home to celebrate her son's birthday. Yep, born on Christmas eve.
All seven of the kiddies were quite antsy for the clock to strike midnight so they could tear into their gifts. The only one that was oblivious to the Christmas excitement was the baby. I can't wait to see how he'll be this coming Christmas - vast difference, I'm sure.
My niece has discovered Hello Kitty. Yay!!! She LOVES anything Hello Kitty. You can't tell in the following picture, but she had on a HK headband, earrings & a necklace. And prior to changing into that outfit she's pictured in, she was wearing a HK dress. Since I don't have a daughter, she's inheriting all my HK stuff!
She was thrilled when she opened her HK water dispenser from us.
After watching his brother and his older cousins, the baby got the gist of the whole ripping-thru-the-paper-to-find-something-fun. As soon as he got his first gift open, he lost all interest in opening any other gift. He loved what his Ateh (what he & the kiddo calls my niece) and manong (what he & the kiddo calls my nephew) got him. See? another smile.
See my hand holding the edge of the box? Soon after the pic was taken, he swatted my hand off as if to say - Get your paws off my toy, lady! He got all territorial on that thing!
The next morning, we came down to see if Santa came by. He sure did! Amongst other goodies, the kiddo got some Transformers that he kept asking Santa for - I'm pretty sure Santa had a hard time finding level 1 Transformers. And the baby got some much needed sippy cups - hmm, Santa must know we're going to try and wean him from his bottle verrrrrry soon. Santa also left this for the boys. I thought the kiddo would be the only one to enjoy it for now, but the baby has a blast with it too. It's not very high, so the baby could kinda push his little car around in it. Awesome!
And so that's how our Christmas went.
The rest of my time off was spent with the boys, hanging out at home and of course - helping the kiddo hone his ninja skills. See?
Yep - I got me a ninja kid! Complete with a (foam) sword. Anyone know where I can get some nun-chucks?
