This was our second trip to Vegas this year. But when we went in May, it felt kind of rushed and we didn't get to take alot of pictures during the weekend we were there. oh well.
You can see the name of the place we stayed in the following pic. It's a time share place, but I booked it thru Expedia since I got a better deal thru them. Lemme tell ya - if you're going to Vegas with little ones, these condos are awesome! It was off of the strip, but that didn't bother us. The 'room' we were in had a full kitchen and there was even a washer and dryer!
Here we are...all ready to head out to the birthday party.
The next day, we took the boys to the pool. But prior to that, the hubs and I went in search for a Wal-Mart or Target to get some floaties for the kiddies. We ended up finding a 99cents only store before we found Wal-Mart or Target. Worked for me!The boys had a blast! The kiddo kept jumping in the deeper part of the pool - thank goodness for the arm floaties! And the baby? Complete opposite. He just wanted to float and chill in the water.
Later that evening, we hit up the Miracle Mile Shops at the Planet Hollywood Hotel. Alas, I didn't find anything in there to buy. We did however stop by Build a Bear to pick up a souvenir for the boys. Look at the outfit the Kiddo picked for his bear, Coconut.
He was quite proud of his selection. The baby got a bear too. His bear, Taro, is dresses as a Jedi Knight, complete with a light saber too!As I was taking a picture of the Kiddo and his Darth Bear, we were witness to some crazy old (like late 60s, all white hair) drunk lady (ODL) and her friend having a fight. It was hilarious! ODL wanted to stay and 'party'. Her friend wanted to go home. Friend was SCREAMING at ODL. ODL was making excuses, like, I have to go back. I need to peeeeee! Man, it was funny just watching them!
On our way back to California, we stopped by Calico to check out the Ghost Town. It was hotter than balls that day. ehhh. I'm sure if it wasn't that hot, I would have enjoyed it. But I was hot, the kiddies were hot and since they were hot, they weren't too happy. Plus, we had my mom with us in her wheelchair. No one was a happy camper in that heat. No wonder it's a ghost town - who in their right mind would want to stay in a place that gets that hot.
As were leaving, there was an ambulance coming in. Someone in the car parked behind us was suffering from heat stroke. Yep, reason enough for us to high tail it outta there!
We go back to Vegas in August for my mini high school reunion. It's going to be hotter, I'm sure. Crank up the AC!

I absolutely love that he dressed his bear as Darth Vader.
