In my last blog entry, the hubs and I were about to celebrate 5 years of marriage. Guess what I got? A surprise 4 day trip to Hawaii! Only thing though is that we didn't take the trip until early September. But hell, I wasn't complaining.
We brought the kiddies along with us. The kiddo did awesome on the plane! Sat in his seat, played with the stuff I remembered to pack in his little back pack. He got a little upset that the TV wasn't showing his show, but all in all...not bad!
The baby on the other hand? Oh my! He was a lil terror! He was the baby you didn't want sitting next to you! Whiny, crying, kicking, screaming..super hyper! When we finally landed in Oahu, the kiddo declared, "You're a crazy baby! I'm gonna give you to the tikis". uhmmm....ya, guess baby brother was driving him nutty too!
Since we arrived in the evening, we just made 2 stops before heading to our hotel: first stop: the grocery store for some milk and some poke. Then a quick stop at Leonard's for some malasadas. The next morning, we woke up bright and early to head out to the Farmer's Market at KCC (yep, same place we went to last year).
Since we didn't have a time constraint this time, we were able to meander thru the whole thing and check out stuff. I so wanted to buy these mangoes! They were HUGE!
We bought a small bunch of apple bananas...they were gone by the end of the day. The baby loved them.
We tried a lot of things that morning. One of our favorite things was the Pesto Neapolitan Pizza! It was sooooo ono! The kiddo wanted his own slice of it. Too bad for him the line was too long so he had to share with me. heh!
Another yummy nom noms that we came across was the Fresh Strawberry Mochi. Man, my mouth is watering just thinking of it.
After the Farmer's Market, we made our way to Target. What? You know how much I love that store! No way was I not going to visit the Hawaii branch.
I'm jealous their customers get covered parking. And that they have an Asian section that's more that half an aisle. And that their food place sells masubis and fried saimen right along with the slushees and popcorn.
I didn't feel bad too very long though, because we ended up going to Bubbies for some mochi ice cream! My favorite? The mint chocolate mochi. I've forgotten what other flavors we got. Ooops! they were all pretty good though....except for the lilikoi one. yech! (We went there twice during this trip and got more than the 3 that's on that rinky dink plate)
I forget what we did afterwards....I know not anything touristy - hehe! I think we went back to the hotel. I don't remember!

On the way to the photo shoot, we passed by Rabbit Island. Made me think of Jewelyn.
Stay tuned...I still have more pics =)
