Did you go out on Black Friday? Me, I went to a couple of store and that was the extent of my Black Friday madness - if you can even call it that.
Since quite a few stores were offering the sale prices online, I thought, well, shoot! I'll just stay home, nice and comfy and do my shopping online.
One of the 'stores' I checked out that day was mamabargains.com I've stumbled upon a few great deals on this site in the past, so I wanted to see what they were offering for BF.
Instead of one item at a great price, they were offering a 'Box of Randomness' for about $23 and some change. The site promised that the stuff you'd receive would be valued more than the $23 they were charging. They had three categories 1) Boy box 2) girl box 3) mama box. And just like the title, you'd be getting a box of well, random stuff in the category you picked.
I opted for the 'boy box', crossed my fingers and hoped I got a box with goodies my boys can enjoy.
Yesterday, my box came in. Ok, so nothing really wow for me, but some good stuff. Here's the kiddo with the loot! Ya, I know he needs a haircut...maybe this wekend.
Here's the breakdown (kiddo and wire thingee in the background not included):Mudpuppy Dinosaur Stationery valued at $9.95
Sugar Booger Splat mat (Sugar Booger! hehe! I love that) - valued at $9.99
SoundScience sound sleep CD for babies - valued at $19.99
Parade Organic T-shirt, Sprout - size 2T, perfect for the baby, by baby, I mean the middle one. it is so very soft! I want one for myself! - valued at $22
Mudpuppy 'Where the Wild things are' puzzle - The kiddo was so excited for this one! "Where the Wild Things Are" is one of his favorite books and he's starting to get into puzzles - so score! Valued at $9.90
Kidorable Frog Mittens - initially the kiddo didn't care a fig for these, but when I put them on, he decided they weren't mittens. Nope. According to him, they are frog puppets. They are still a little too big for him, but that didn't stop him from wearing them out today. Looks like he loves them more than the puzzle. So score again for MB. - valued at $11.50
Not too shabby for just paying $23, huh?
