Drumroll, please!

ok - so I think I'm ready to spill the beans on that secret I mentioned a while back...
Are you ready??

The big secret was that we were going to surprise our family on Guam with a visit! I know my Guamies read this blog, so it would have been a big surprise for us to show up on the doorstep and be able to spend 2 weeks on the island.
But unfortunately, things didn't go the way we wanted. Not only could we NOT surprise the family, but we won't be able to make it...at all. I am so bummed!
There are a multitude of reasons why we had to cancel, but the biggest reason is that we received some pretty devastating news about the hubs' paternal grandmother.
We recently found out she has cancer. And just very recently, we were informed that she's now in stage 4 of the cancer. With her time with us in limbo, we decided that really maybe now isn't a good time to be away....just in case.
Yes, a vacation would have been so awesome...everyone would have been thoroughly surprised with us showing up unexpectedly on Guam. But in the grand scheme of things, it'd be much more worthwhile for us to stay put in California - -be with family during this time.

On another note - - I have some GREAT news for ya'll!!

Are you ready??

The kiddo is going to be a big brother!

Yep, I am preggo!!!
and yes, I know, 2 under 2 (don't feel sorry for me - - I'm coz, I'm not!). And NO, it wasn't really planned. To be honest, we weren't trying, but weren't preventing. We didn't think it would happen this soon, but either way we are excited and thrilled to be adding to our family. I'm not sure how far along I am - - my guesstimate is that I am about 8 -9 weeks along. We find out officially on July 24th how far along I am.
So far, (knock on wood) I haven't had any morning sickness, only minor feelings of nausea, occasional dizziness, bouts of fatigue, heightened sense of smell and big time bloat! I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop, because I seriously don't feel like I'm preggers! I'm hoping that I don't get gestational diabetes this time around again....and that labor will be quick and easy.... I can't be that lucky again,right?

Heidi and Holly guessed it! Heidi - - we don't need to adopt a Cambodian kid - -we already have some half Cambodian kiddos in my family - - my cousin's boys =)
