We had one more plane stop before we reached Guam. We stopped on a itty, bitty island atoll called Majuro. Trust me when I say itty, bitty. We had the option to stay on the plane or disembark for the 30 mins we were there. We chose to get down. It was soooo HOT!! In the 15 minutes we were off the plane, the kiddo looked like he had just finished taking a shower! Oh & the humidity brought out some curls I didn't know he had!
bleh! So, we continued on our way and 4 hours after landing on Majuro....we see the lights of GUAM! yippie! yippie!
Initially we planned to head out to dinner (we arrived around 6:45ish), but according to my parents, my aunties & uncles were coming over for a mini bbq/get2gether. I wish I had remembered to take a picture. My mom's 2 sisters & her brother along with their spouses as well as the last 2 cousins (L & K) on Guam came....Gosh, I remember our family get2gethers as being so much bigger. sigh...guess we're (cousins) are getting older & the 'rents are going thru an empty nest. It was so nice to hang out with the fam bam..eating a home cooked meal...underneath the stars...listening to the boonie dogs howl and the roosters crowing...hehehe!(trust me that was no joke)
The next day, we had breakfast at King's!!! yummy! I got all excited over my Fried Rice a la that I totally forgot to take a picture =( Lemme tell ya, the fried rice & Portuguese sausage were devoured in record time! hehe!
We then headed out to visit my grandma's and Uncle L's grave. It was nice & sunny the whole way there but as soon as we got to the cemetery, the clouds decided to drop their load on us! Typical Guam weather...sunny one second & pouring the next. The clouds on Guam are like pregnant women...constantly have to shi-shi!
We ended up going to KFC for lunch. OK, KFC on Guam is totally different from the KFC in the mainland. For one, they serve red rice and they now have chicken keleguen wrap. I was in heaven! We decided to take it to go & picnic at a beach. Alas, we forgot it was a holiday (Columbus Day), so the nearby beaches were busy. eh! So we went home. Bad idea... we fell asleep by 5 pm and didn't wake up till 2 am! yikes!
On our second day, we decided to grab lunch at the Chamorro Village and hopefully this time get to eat by the beach. Luckily, we found a spot by the Agana boat basin. Check out the kiddo trying to make a run for it to the beach! Good thing Grandpa was there to hold him back! He probably thought it was an endless pool. The water was sooo clear!

Afterwards we headed to the Guam Premier Outlets. (If you click on the link, the guy in the ad was my Jr. Prom date - He's now a lawyer and I guess he models too!) I'll be honest - the stores in there suck! But we were there to escape from the heat and kill some time before we picked my mom up.
Before we left to pick up my mom, I got hungry again...thank goodness there was a King's right by there. Look at us all tourist-y by the side of the road!
Yummy, yummy ice cream crepe! I think the macadamia nuts they sprinkle on top makes all the difference.
After we picked my mom up, we headed down to the village of Agat to their version of a Farmer's market. My mom wanted to buy some Filipino pastries. We grumbled about having to drive there, but it was nice that we went...I got to show the hubs & the kiddo the house I grew up at, the elementary I attended, the beach where we went night fishing with my dad & uncles and the church we attended.
On our way back home, we stopped at the War in the Pacific Historical Park. We took this pic for the hub's grandfather who is a retired Marine.
Here's my official 23 weeks preggers pic. Also taken at the park during sunset.
